Where we begin

What would you like
to develop or change?

You may be taking on more, considering a new direction, or finding that something familiar no longer works for you. You can also begin from a position of success, with a wish to develop further. We begin with what matters to you.

Growing into greater responsibility

Your role is changing. You want to develop the judgement, relationships, and confidence it asks of you.

Choosing what comes next

You may be successful in your role and still want to explore what matters now, and the leader you want to become.

Working with a recurring challenge

A decision, conversation, or familiar response keeps returning. You want to understand it and find a different way forward.

Creating room for others to lead

You want to build trust and accountability, make expectations clear, and give others responsibility they can own.

My unique Leading Unmasked approach

Who do you believe you need to be?

Leadership draws on more than your skills and experience. How you see yourself, what you believe gives you value, and the expectations you carry can influence how you lead.

Together, we explore those beliefs in depth: where they come from, how they have become part of your identity, and what happens when that identity feels challenged.

We connect this understanding to your working life: hearing challenge without immediately defending, addressing a conversation you have postponed, or giving others responsibility without taking it back. What matters is the change you want to make, and how you put it into practice.

Coaching in practice

What began to change.

Two anonymised accounts drawn from my coaching records and client feedback. Identifying details have been omitted. These reflect individual experiences.

Confidence and communication

Approaching difficult conversations with greater confidence.

A leader taking on greater responsibility wanted to feel more confident in their decisions and communication. Difficult conversations could bring pressure to explain and justify more than was helpful.

We examined the expectations they placed on themselves, the assumptions shaping their responses, and where their responsibility for other people’s reactions began and ended. The work connected that reflection to clearer, more intentional communication.

The change reported: The client described greater confidence in approaching emotionally difficult conversations. In written feedback on the coaching, they also reported clearer action plans, faster progress with complex issues, and improved decision-making and communication.

Relationships and perspective

Finding room to choose a response.

A leader brought a difficult working relationship that was causing frustration and making decisions feel more personally charged.

We explored what felt at stake, the assumptions influencing their interpretation, and the boundaries and conversations that might help. The client considered several options and chose to reflect further before taking consequential action.

The change reported: The client described greater perspective on the relationship and clearer thinking about their boundaries and possible next steps. The immediate value was having more room to choose a response while the situation remained unresolved.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few practical details about coaching with me.

How is confidentiality handled?

We agree confidentiality and its boundaries before coaching begins. If your employer funds the work, we also agree what, if anything, will be shared with them, so everyone understands the arrangement.

What happens in the first conversation?

The discovery call lasts 30 minutes. We discuss what brings you to coaching, what you would like to develop or change, and the questions you have about working with me. It is a chance for us both to consider the fit. You do not need to prepare a presentation, complete an assessment or commit to coaching.

How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?

Coaching is delivered one-to-one, online. Before you commit, your proposal sets out session length, frequency, the duration of the engagement and any agreed support between sessions. We discuss the time you can realistically give to the work and the changes you want to make.

What does coaching cost?

Following our initial conversation, I provide a written proposal setting out the scope of coaching, session arrangements and investment. You can consider it before deciding. There is no charge for the discovery call and no obligation to proceed.

How will we know whether coaching is helping?

We agree what you want to develop and what meaningful progress would look like in your working life. That might involve how you approach decisions, handle a particular relationship or respond under pressure. We return to those priorities, consider what you have tried and what changed, and adjust the focus together.

Will you coach me, advise me, or both?

Coaching helps you examine your own experience, leadership identity and choices in depth. I also bring current business and leadership experience. Where advice or a mentoring perspective would be useful, we agree that shift explicitly, so you know how we are working and retain ownership of your decisions.

Can my employer fund or arrange coaching?

Yes. We agree the objectives, confidentiality and any progress reporting with the people involved before starting. We make clear what the sponsor needs to understand and what remains within the coaching relationship. If you are enquiring for a colleague, the person receiving coaching is involved in agreeing the work.

Do I need a clear goal or an assessment before we begin?

No. You can begin with a question, a situation, or a sense that you want something to change. The Mask Assessment is optional, and you can book a discovery call directly.
